CEILIDH CONNECTIONS Reviews

Eleanor

Graeme is so so talented both musically and performance wise (as they are not always the same thing). With a great repertoire as well as readiness to do requests for my parents wedding he has a great presence

I’ve had the pleasure of being in the audience multiple times to see Graeme McColgan (The Scotsman) perform; solo, in his trio “The Stovies”, as well as taking part in his Ceilidh events. Each and every time, Graeme gives 200% to his performance, with so much attention to detail, audience participation, and a genuine desire to have attendees leave at the end with a warm sense of community belonging and that they’ve joined in something truly special.

I’ve also hired Graeme to perform at events, and found him to be extremely organised, professional, super easy to deal with, and committed to providing a musical/cultural experience that warms the heart and puts a grin on your face (and occasional tears of joy in your eyes!).

Cannot recommend Graeme and his Ceilidh Connections suite of products more highly!

Graeme is an absolutely awesome Ceilidh performer. His passion and talent will get everyone birling on the dance floor. Highly recommended!

Such an amazing fun filled evening. If there is one near you well worth going too.

MPFG Fundraiser

Ceilidh Connections were a fabulous organisation to help us engage the community at two annual fundraisers. Their organisation and seamless transition to and from the venue, they way they hosted their dances and provided entertainment was outstanding. We can’t recommend Graeme and his business enough. Who knew that Ceilidh dancing could be so fun!

You will never forget a performance or event involving the passionate entertainer, Graeme McColgan. He is a community driven artist, committed to bringing the memories of his homeland to his new home in Australia; involving all in the energetic fun of a great Ceilidh or in the soulful rendition of songs from the heart. And he is an accomplished and thorough organiser and promoter. You are such an enthusiastic, warm and funny bloke, Graeme! And it shines through in your work.

Wow! I had so much fun! I’ve always felt I was no good at dancing but Graeme’s instructions were so clear, I knew exactly what to do and was on the floor for every dance. Can’t wait for the next Ceilidh!

Graeme is a pleasure to work with. He provides an extremely professional and personalised service that made our event the smash hit of the year. All staff and patrons thoroughly enjoyed the event, and we’d highly recommend Ceilidh Connections to anyone/any venue who wants a fantastic time.

Wildly entertaining, brimming with talent, all heart and kilt! Being in the audience at one of Graeme’s gigs is like going on a journey through the Scottish landscape with yer best mate! and maybe with a scotch in hand😅✨

I heard The Scotsman preforming at a festival last year. I just stood and listened to his whole set! I absolutely love the smooth sound of his voice – so warm.

Crackin’ performance by The Scotsman and The Stovies at Launceston’s Jamboree. I bought the cd after the show. It didn’t disappoint, I have been playing the album on repeat……braw

I saw Graeme at the Kilted Haggis Deerpark in Melbourne with my family who live in Melbourne. Having grown up in Glasgow Graeme was brilliant he sang all the Scottish as well as Glasgow songs we know and love from there. I had the Best night and yes I did sing along with him you can’t help it. I know my family enjoyed it as well. It showed them what it would be like having a good Scottish Pub sing along. I hope next time I am in Melbourne that am able to see Graeme again. Thanks to both Graeme and Kilted Haggis for a fantastic night.

I first saw The Scotsman playing at an outdoor market. I hadn’t intended to stick around as I had done my shopping but his music and patter was so entertaining, I stayed for the whole set. The Scotsman is a great musician, with a lovely voice that lends itself to poignant love songs as well as cheeky ditties. One of my favourite performances was at Newcastle ukulele festival where he lead a flash mob singing 500 Miles by The Proclaimers. Don’t miss The Scotsman, He’s braw.
